Overcome Self Limiting Beliefs

In life we come across so many obstacles many of which are internal, the good news is we have the power to overcome these.

What are limiting beliefs?

Limiting beliefs are false ideas that put limits on your behaviour and your development. This could be a state of mind or conviction about you, how you interact with other people or your place in the world and how the world works.

These limiting thoughts can stem from family values, our education and our experiences. As we go through like we write behaviours and outcomes into our internal computer which determine our scripted behaviour. We think these thoughts protect us, stop us from embarrassing ourselves, from being rejected and from failing...but this is just not true.

Limiting beliefs prevent you from taking new opportunities and following your goals, they leave you stuck in a negative state in your comfort zone, far from the life you desire.

Almost everyone has limiting beliefs, these could be around age, personal traits, our emotions and feelings, other people’s thoughts, our uniqueness and our time.

The good news is you can identify and overcome your limiting beliefs, reframing them as personal strengths.

I know this to be true, as one of my main limiting beliefs was that I was a terrible speaker…. and now I’m a trainer!
