Why are habits important?
Every single day we perform different actions and make decisions that define our lives. Most of these are unconscious and many are habitual (we’ve been doing them for so long they become second nature).
It can feel difficult to imagine changing our habits, they feel so ingrained. But it is possible. What’s more, it is important.
Our habits help us to achieve our goals, they keep us going towards a future target. Even more importantly our habits define our identity, they tell us and the world what type of person we are. If our habits don’t match our values we can feel disconnected, and it can impact our confidence.
