Receiving Without Apology: The Inner Work of Pricing as a Coach
What if your relationship with money isn't a mindset problem - it's a body problem? A coach who is bracing for survival is pricing from desperation and trying to fix rather than hold space and you cannot hold space for someone else's abundance when you're contracting around your own. In this interactive session, Jo will explore why so many coaches struggle to charge confidently, receive without guilt and sustain a business that truly reflects their worth. Having studied psychology, human behaviour, energetics and somatics, Jo combines all of this into a talk that is as fun and engaging as it is transformative. Drawing on her experience and expertise of working with hundreds of coaches and entrepreneurs over more than 20 years in the wellbeing and coaching space, you'll be invited to meet your own money shadow and begin to shift it in real time. Expect to leave with a new understanding of where your money blocks live in the body, why they formed and what it actually takes to move them. Jo Cantle is a Master Accredited Coach (IAPC&M), Accredited EFT Master Trainer, NLP & Hypnosis Coach, Yoga & Fitness Instructor, and Angelic Reiki Master with over 20 years' experience as a multi-disciplinary wellbeing practitioner. She is the creator of the MoneyShift™ methodology - a somatic approach to transforming coaches' and entrepreneurs' relationship with money, pricing, and receiving and has worked with hundreds of coaches and entrepreneurs to recalibrate their relationship with receiving, resetting the internal money thermostat that keeps so many talented people playing small. She is also co-director of Becoming 360® Accredited Life Coach Training Academy. Jo's work sits at the intersection of nervous system regulation, embodiment, and sustainable business - because she believes money in the hands of good people doing good work is one of the most expansive forces for change in the world.

Trust in Coaching: Building Relationships That Last
Trust is something that is fundamental for all relationships and this is particularly true in coaching and leadership. If there is trust the psychological safety is there as well, and this leads to better coaching and leadership. But how do you build trust and more importantly, maintain it? In his book The Trusted Executive, Dr. John Blakey introduced the nine habits of trust. These are habits that if consistently applied develop a solid foundation for all relationships. This talk will build on Dr. Blakey’s work and will give practical examples of where the habits have been demonstrated both in leadership and coaching. Alun specialises in executive coaching for technical experts, helping them become influential leaders in their field. He works with both individuals and the teams they lead, using a direct, challenging approach that creates the conditions for genuinely new thinking. With 35 years of industry leadership experience, a PhD in Applied Statistics, and an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach credential to his coaching practice he has rare insight into the world his clients navigate. He is also a founding member of The Coaching Circle by Dr. John Blakey, which is a movement for purpose-driven executive coaches.
Feeling It: An Exploration of Emotions in Coaching
How well does formal coach training equip you to hold the space for the emotions your clients bring with them? What have you learnt since then that supports you as a coach, as well as your clients, as you work with their, and your own emotions?
In this interactive session, we'll explore how we harness emotions in coaching — including how the industry has evolved in how it talks about and deals with emotions and our own preparation and responses to emotions in our work with clients. There's no one right way here, so we will celebrate the many and different ways we as a unique band of coaches support our clients to navigate the roller coaster that is this messy life as a human being.
Jennifer McCanna PCC has been coaching leaders since 2011 — first as an internal coach and L&D manager at VSO (2011–2016), then running her own practice for the last 10+ years. During that time, she has encountered a fairly full range of human emotions in her client work, across organisations as diverse as the UN Refugee Agency, HSBC, the UK's Department of Education, ActionAid, small tech startups, international charities, and private healthcare. If there's an emotion to be felt at work, she's probably sat with a client through it.
Jen trained initially with The Forton Group and has since added significantly to her toolkit — most relevant here: neuroscience (with Lynda Shaw) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). As an EFT Practitioner and Resilience Dynamic® Practitioner, she draws on both daily across her 1-1, team, and leadership development work.
Jen is the host of My Emotional Work Life — the podcast that uses stories, strategies, and the occasional special guest to help leaders navigate the rollercoaster.

Thinking Space - You, Human, Sustainability
In this reflective Thinking Space, you’ll have time to slow down and think for yourself- both about the day and about what it means to sustain yourself as a human in the work you do.
We’ll explore how you build personal practices that nourish, renew and sustain you, so that your coaching (and your life) is grounded, resourced and sustainable over time. This is a gentle, spacious session designed to help you reconnect with your own thinking and leave the day with greater clarity and intention.
Sophie is a Time to Think Global Faculty member and founder of The Thinking Project. She works as a Thinking Environment consultant, teacher, coach, facilitator and supervisor, helping individuals and organisations create the conditions for independent thinking, better decision-making, and more meaningful conversations.
With over 25 years’ experience across leadership, strategy, coaching and facilitation, Sophie brings both depth and practicality to her work. She has trained coaches, facilitators and leaders across the UK and internationally, and was the first person in the UK (after Nancy Kline) to qualify other Thinking Environment teachers and coaches. She is the International Business Manager for Time to Think.
Sophie is known for her warm, encouraging and easeful style, and for creating spaces where people can slow down, think more clearly, and access their own insight and agency.
Spoken Word Finale
Kate Jenkinson is back again with her fantastic Spoken Work Finale to bring an end to our day
Also….
Panel: What helps your sustainable business?
Alun, Jennifer and Sophie will be asking our (and your) questions on what has helped them to have sustainable coaching businesses.
Coaching Café
We will have discussion tables for facilitated conversations on topics related to your humanity and sustainability as coaches. On each table you will find a conversation starter (think Nature, AI, Creativity, Wellbeing) giving a chance to connect deeply on topics that influence and inspire us…or those that we had not yet considered. Bring an open mind and heart, and maybe grab a coffee first.

Excellent question and absolutely yes. If you are an internal coach or work for a company where coaching / mentoring is part of your role why not ask for this to be covered by your company, we can create invoices for this if needed :)
And yes if you are a sole trader or limited company yourself you can absolutely claim this as a business expense. You will receive a receipt once you pay but let us know if you also need an invoice :) -
No problem.
You can contact Chloe Angus or Julie White directly or drop us an email to Sheffieldcoachingexchange@gmail.com
